CENCO Guidelines for Promotion of Rank

The procedures and requirements for promotion as established by CENCO are listed below. Each item is in PDF format for easy viewing and printing.

  • Cenco Board of Examiner member,

    Please submit all form 20's to Vaughn Imada by May 8, 2008.

    We will have a Board of Examiner meeting promptly at 10:30 AM. The
    testing and Kata clinic will start at 11:15 AM and should be completed
    by 1:15. The Board will reconvene at that time and make final decisions if required.

Promotion Checklist

All items must be sent via email attachments in Adobe Acrobat format (pdf). Non-comforming forms will be REJECTED.

All Yudansha (Black Belt) Candidates: Shodan and higher

  1. Fill out Form 20(word.doc) and appropriate Form 20 Addendum Sheet
  2. Passport picture (2x2) must be attached with Form 20(word.doc)
  3. Fill-out USJF Background Check
  4. Candidates Instructor/Assistant Instructor must attend the Board of Examiners Promotion Meeting
  5. Attach Check (additional)for appropriate amount, payable to CENCO

All forms must be received via email/attachments by Nov. 10, 2007. Late forms will be REJECTED.
